Icy Bear PAP+ Teeth Whitening Powder FAQs

How Long Will Whitening Last?

Ever heard the saying ‘don’t compare apples with pears?’ What makes us unique is who we are at our core. Our routines, and habits and biology shape us as the individuals we are and of course the experiences that we have. Some will notice immediate results from treatments and others may need to persist a little longer to achieve desired results. Regardless of which method of teeth whitening you use; one thing remains unanimous: it won’t last forever. Like all good things, to maintain longevity of results it is important to foster good aftercare measures. Maintaining Teeth Whitening To help maintain results, it is always a good idea to consider in-between treatment top ups.

What Foods Should I Reduce When Whitening My Teeth?

Although staining is typically caused gradually over a period of time, it is important to remember that when whitening your teeth, the whitening agents must penetrate the tooths surface layer to dissolve the stains deep within. This means that during the course of your whitening treatment (particularly 30 minutes before and after) your teeth are more exposed, and so it is important to take good care in between treatments by limiting exposure to high staining foods such as: Tea & Coffee Tomato and curried food Smoking/Vaping Moderation with ‘high-staining’ foods is key when whitening your teeth.

How To Prevent Staining Your Teeth After Whitening?

To keep your teeth as white as possible for as long as possible after a course of teeth whitening, it is essential to ensure you maintain thorough and effective daily oral hygiene practises. Many finish their daily oral routine with flossing at the end, and some don’t floss at all! It is important to carry out a step-by-step oral routine, just as you prep, wash and moisturise your skin. Flossing before brushing your teeth is far more effective to ensure you are not wiping the fluoride away from the teeth after brushing. Our multi-award-winning Icy Bear Diamond Dust Toothpaste benefits from Diamond dust that is optimised to be effectively abrasive, and removes discolouration from teeth by polishing, dissolving stains and creating a protective barrier which prevents new stains from forming.

How Often Can I Use The Icy Bear Whitening Powder?

We recommend use 2-3 times a week either in the morning when brushing your teeth or at night before bed when brushing your teeth.

Can PAP Powder replace regular toothpaste?

While PAP Powder is effective at promoting oral health and hygiene, it is not intended to replace regular toothpaste entirely. It is recommended to use PAP Powder in conjunction with regular toothpaste for comprehensive oral care.

Why is PAP a better ‘at home’ whitening treatment than Peroxide?

PAP, this is the most effective alternative to peroxide. The legal limit of peroxide for over-the-counter purchases is 0.1% Hp (or equivalent) which is an ineffective dose. As a result, the only way to offer peroxide whitening is through a dentist up to a maximum of 6% Hp (or equivalent). The peroxide-free products on the market have historically been very poor due to a lack of effective ingredients. The discovery of PAP has changed this, and we have been at the forefront of PAP technology for years. Of all the brands on the market we have the biggest shade change claims which are clinically tested so you have the most effective OTC product on the market. The PAP works in a similar way to peroxide as it oxidises, and the oxygen-free radicals pass through the tooth lightening stains. This technology is the most effective alternative to in clinic teeth whitening at a fraction of the cost.

Is PAP Powder suitable for sensitive teeth?

PAP Powder is generally well-tolerated by individuals with sensitive teeth. However, if you experience any discomfort or irritation while using the powder, it's advisable to discontinue use and consult with your dentist.

How do I use PAP Powder?

To use PAP Powder, simply wet your toothbrush, dip it into the powder, and brush your teeth thoroughly for at least two minutes. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water after brushing. For best results, use PAP Powder twice daily, in the morning and evening, as part of your oral hygiene routine.

What are the benefits of using PAP Powder?

Using PAP Powder as part of your oral hygiene routine can provide several benefits, including: Reduction of plaque and tartar buildup Fresher breath Improved gum health Enhanced overall oral hygiene.

Can PAP Powder help with teeth whitening?

While PAP Powder is primarily designed to promote oral health by reducing plaque and tartar buildup, some users may notice a slight brightening effect on their teeth over time. However, PAP Powder is not specifically formulated for teeth whitening, and for significant whitening results, it's recommended to use our dedicated whitening products.
